Whether you’re a novice or an experienced angler, employing the services of our resident guide ‘Ditch’ on a guided holiday will really give you a head start on the river. With over 14 years experience on the Ebro, he knows where the fish are likely to be and can ensure that you are fishing the most productive areas with the most effective methods.

When targeting catfish we have found pellet fishing consistently delivers the best results, and this is done by working as a team with the guide regularly dropping rigs and loose feed via the boat, whilst the anglers manage and set the rods on the bank. Our private swims are situated less than 100 meters from your accommodation, and are baited year round meaning the fish are never usually too far away. However, when river conditions dictate we also fish from the boat with lures and other baits to try and tempt that monster catfish. You can rely on ‘Ditch’ to ensure you are fishing efficiently throughout your stay.

With a lifelong passion for carp fishing and a background working for Nash Tackle in the UK, Ditch is more than qualified to help you target the Ebro’s river carp. We plan your guided holiday based on your aspirations – be it feeder fishing for giant Roach or lure fishing for the Zander and Perch, just ask and we will do our best to make it happen!

You will need to budget for your bait. When cat fishing we typically use 10 – 20 kg of Halibut pellet per swim per day.

For anglers with experience of the Ebro and its inhabitants, or big river fishing in general, you might like to choose a DIY fishing adventure. As part of your holiday we will set you up with all the necessary equipment, talk tactics and help get you started. However, if you have never fished a big European river before then we suggest you employ the services of our guide. DIY fishing for the catfish here at EMC is done in pairs; we do not accept single angler, unguided bookings. please contact us if you think an unguided trip is for you.
